Our Doctors

 

Eileen Freedman, MD: Dr. Freedman received her medical degree from the University of Buffalo in 1975. She completed her pediatric residency training/chief residency at the Albany Medical Center in 1978. In 1982 she attained board certification from the America Board of Pediatrics. For 21 years she practiced pediatric medicine with Kaiser Health Plan. She fulfilled a lifelong dream of establishing her own practice when she opened South Windsor Pediatrics in January 2001. She is married and lives in South Windsor with her two children, a daughter and a son. She states, "My children have certainly helped me to be a better pediatrician."

     
 

Laurie Bayer, MD: We are pleased to announce that Dr. Bayer has joined our practice as a part-time pediatrician. Laurie received her medical degree from George Washington University in 1984, and completed residency training in pediatrics at Childrens' National Medical Center in Washington DC. She obtained board certification from the American Board of Pediatrics in 1988. Laurie has worked in pediatrics for 20 years. She is married with three children, one daughter and twin boys. "I work part-time so I can spend time with my own children," she says. "I love caring for kids and can't imagine doing anything else."

Lisa Gorman-Lessard, Office Manager: Lisa is the Office Manager/Medical Assistant with over 20 years of experience. She is married and has two wonderful dogs Xena and Ernie.

 

     
Beth Zagorski

Beth Zagorski, Nurse: Beth is the office nurse. She is married and has two young children. Having them makes her be a more understanding nurse.

Dorinne Zaccardelli, Receptionist: Dorinne is the office receptionist with over 10 years of experience. She is married and has two children.

Our Office

We made our office to be fun and inviting to kids of all ages, as well as their parents. The theme is sports which has universal appeal. See the pictures below for more (click on images to enlarge).

Each of our exam rooms has a different sports theme, and all of them are filled with fun toys.


Dr. Freedman treats her patients with warmth and compassion.


Patients can pick a toy and a sticker at the end of every visit.
